Study Focus Areas

  •  Dan Gifford’s lack of expertise when writing in his June 1999 letter to SKEPTIC MAGAZINE about the claims of “his” film and of alleged weapons’ fire from the rear deck of the CEV.

There has never been any evidence to support this contention. Gifford’s claims  in support of the charge ring false as there is no evidence he had any military experience or ever spent time on the back of a CEV or tank in any situation.  His claims are patently false.

Dr. Allard’s assertions of FBI gunfire are inconsistent and change constantly. Claims of Allard’s expertise in determining if the FBI fired at the Branch Davidians are exaggerated and do not withstand close scrutiny.

No evidence has been produced to support Gifford’s claims that the FBI intentionally set fire to the Branch Davidian compound on April 19th, 1993.

No evidence has been produced to support Gifford’s claims that the Branch Davidians died of cyanide poisoning on April 19th, 1993.

  • Based on interviews, Branch Davidian attorney Michael Caddell no longer believes there is any evidence to support claims of government gunfire into the compound on April 19th 1993.

  • The influence of extreme right-wing propaganda about Waco, including the film, “The Big Lie,” on the mind-sets of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols prior to the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building on April 19th 1993.

  •  The need for the producers of “Waco:  The Rules of Engagement” to distance themselves from researcher Michael McNulty’s subsequent film, “Waco:  A New Revelation.”
